‘Time Stand Still’: writing and production
According to COP International, “Time Stand Still” began as “a quick back-and-forth between band members” and was “written and turned around in a matter of days.” Johan Sjöblom and Robert Eklind wrote the track, which was produced by Jon Bordon at Joniverse Studios. The label describes the song as “post-pop” and as “a bright, kinetic new single,” a description set apart from the post-punk and darkwave style of the project’s earlier records.
“Time Stand Still” is a digital single. COP International has not announced a physical edition.
Sjöblom and The Cassandra Complex European tour
COP International presented “Time Stand Still” as “the first glimpse of what’s ahead” before Sjöblom joins The Cassandra Complex on tour. Side-Line reported in March 2026 that The Cassandra Complex would return with the “Generating Station Complex” album and a European tour for autumn 2026, with Sjöblom named as support. The press materials for the single do not list individual tour dates.
‘Time Stand Still’ availability
“Time Stand Still” is available to stream and to buy as a digital single. It can be heard on the band’s Bandcamp page and across streaming services, including Spotify.
About Sjöblom
Sjöblom is a Swedish post-punk, new wave and darkwave project based in Stockholm, built around Johan Sjöblom with Robert Eklind. The project has moved through several styles across its releases. In 2019 it issued the EP “A Victory of Love,” which included a cover of Alphaville.
Sjöblom signed to COP International in 2023. The band then released the singles “Fly Away With Me” in April 2024 and “Dead For Years” in August 2024, both ahead of the album “Dead of Night,” released on COP International in 2024.
“Time Stand Still,” issued on June 5, 2026, is the project’s first single since that album and introduces the material Sjöblom will carry into its autumn 2026 dates with The Cassandra Complex.

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
