German darkwave and post-punk act Coloured Tears released the single “Decay” on 26 May 2026 through Bandcamp, the first release from a two-part tribute to the Swedish group Twice A Man. Coloured Tears “Decay” is a cover of the Twice A Man song of the same name and appears in two versions: an original version of 3:42 and an extended club version of 6:21.

The single precedes two tribute albums, “Decay” and “Time”, which are scheduled for simultaneous release exclusively on Bandcamp on 26 June 2026. The “Decay” album reinterprets Twice A Man material from the band’s early era of 1982 to 1985, while “Time” presents versions of songs originally released between 1985 and 1988. According to promoter IAM – International Artist Marketing, the “Decay” single entered the German Alternative Charts (DAC) at number 17.

The “Decay” single pairs the original-version recording with an extended club version, both produced by Coloured Tears. The source song is by Twice A Man, the Swedish dark-electronics act whose own “Decay” featured on the 2022 compilation Twice A Man’s “Songs of Future Memories (1982–2022)”. Twice A Man returned in 2025 with the album Twice A Man’s “The Coloured Breeze Is a New Dimension”.

Both tribute albums are set for 26 June 2026 and split Twice A Man’s catalogue by period, with “Decay” drawn from 1982–1985 and “Time” from 1985–1988. The single can be heard on the official “Decay” Bandcamp page. A physical edition has not been announced; the releases are confirmed as digital, on Bandcamp.

About Coloured Tears

Coloured Tears is the project of André Grafert from Germany, who began making music in 1985. In 1989 he co-founded the wave band Liquid Dreams with guitarist Jojo Brandt; that group lasted until 1991. Grafert has since self-released a large catalogue under the Coloured Tears name, with recent 2026 albums including “Black Light” in January, “Solitude” in March and “Invaders” in April. His work is tagged across darkwave, coldwave, dark electro, post-punk and synthpop.

The two-part Twice A Man tribute, led by the single “Decay”, continues that run of releases and marks Coloured Tears’ first project dedicated to reinterpreting another act’s catalogue, with both “Decay” and “Time” due on 26 June 2026.
