Page issue the 200-copy ‘Ett Förslag’ EP on Energy Rekords with two new songs
Swedish synthpop duo Page released the five-track EP “Ett Förslag” on Energy Rekords in a 200-copy CD edition, with two new songs recorded in spring 2026.
Swedish synthpop duo Page released the five-track EP “Ett Förslag” on Energy Rekords on 24 July 2026, in a CD edition of 200 copies in a gatefold cardboard sleeve. The digital version followed on 31 July. The EP holds two songs recorded in spring 2026, a 2026 version of an older track, a remix and a cover.
Eddie Bengtsson wrote the music and words. Christer Hermodsson produced, and Jonas Karlsson supplied the artwork.
What is on the Page EP ‘Ett Förslag’
The running order is “Ett förslag”, “Glizerstrahl”, “Om ett tag – Anymachine redux”, “Mia & Tom – 2026 Version” and “Ingenting som betyder någonting”. The first two are the new recordings. Track three is a rework by Anymachine, the project of Ulf Persson of Arachnophobia, of the title track of Page’s 2025 “Om ett tag” EP. The closing track is a cover by Compute, the Swedish producer Ulrika Mild, of a song from Page’s album “Inget motstånd”, which Energy Rekords issued on 3 October 2025. Compute has worked with Page before, remixing “Som ett skal 1” in 2013 and forming The Volt with Bengtsson for the 2016 album “Thirteen Men”.
The CD is sold through Hot Stuff Mailorder and at Swedish shows. The EP is also on Spotify and Apple Music. Energy Rekords describes the title track as a candidate for a Page album due after the summer; no release date for that album has been announced.
About Page
Page formed in 1980 in Malmö around Eddie Bengtsson on vocals, synths and songwriting, Marina Schiptjenko on synths and Anders Eliasson on synths, vocals and songwriting, with Jan Adolfsson on synth drums in 1980 and 1981. Eliasson left in 1983. The debut single “Dansande man” came out on Eskimo in 1983 in an edition of 300 copies, followed by “Som skjuten ur en kanon” in 1986, “Blå fötter” in 1987 and “Som en vind” in 1989 on Accelerating Blue Fish.
Energy Rekords collected the early material on a self-titled release in 1992 and issued “The Lost Tapes” in 1994. The first studio album, “Hallå! (Var tog månbasen vägen?)”, arrived the same year, with “Glad” in 1995. Schiptjenko left in 1996; Bengtsson carried the group through “Hur så?” in 1996 and “Helt nära” in 1998 before a farewell show at Kåren in Gothenburg on 1 April 2000.
Bengtsson and Schiptjenko restarted the group in 2010 with the album “Nu”, which reached number 34 on the Swedish chart. “Hemma” followed on Wonderland in 2013, then “Det är ingen vacker värld men det råkar vara så det ser ut” in 2017, “Fakta för alla” in 2019 and the LP “Aska under mitt skinn” in 2020. Side-Line covered the 2018 EP “Start”, which carried an Apoptygma Berzerk remix, the 2021 EP “Aska” and the 2023 album “En ny våg”. The band’s back catalogue of early singles reached digital platforms in October 2021.
Both members run projects outside the duo. Bengtsson has recorded as S.P.O.C.K with Alexander Hofman, as Sista Mannen På Jorden with Matts Wiberg since 1986, and in This Fish Needs A Bike and The Volt; he also reworked ten My God Damn Territory tracks for a vinyl release in 2016. Schiptjenko plays in Vacuum and in BWO. “Ett Förslag” is the pair’s second Energy Rekords EP in fifteen months, after “Om ett tag” in May 2025 and the album “Inget motstånd” in October 2025.
