Wie Ein Gott Records has released “Made By Humans”, a 14-track compilation of industrial, EBM and darkwave, on 10 July 2026 through the Berlin label. The set collects fourteen contemporary underground acts around a single idea: human-made music as contraband in a future where machines write, mix and master everything.

What Wie Ein Gott built into ‘Made By Humans’

The compilation runs on a science-fiction premise. Wie Ein Gott Records describes a near-future in which “music creation has become heavily automated” and human creators are treated “as inefficiencies, until they are removed from the process altogether.” The turning point in that story is a Nobel Prize awarded to an entity called CPK1310-5L for a formula that produces the “perfect” song across every genre. The fourteen tracks stand in as transmissions from a human counter-movement.

Musically the collection moves across industrial EBM, dark disco, rave, darkwave, synth-punk and post-club electronics. Wie Ein Gott released it as a digital album to stream and download on Bandcamp, with a 24-bit master available.

The set opens with Pink Stiletto’s “Ice Eyes” and continues through Brood Faye’s “I Could B U”, Sleek Teeth‘s “Powerless”, Desolate Discotheque’s “Одиночество”, Blood Handsome’s “Fear (Itself)”, Fuedal’s “Bought”, Blood Rave’s “The Burning Field”, Abby Knives & Manuel Matarasso’s “You Can Only Feel It”, Dildox’s “Cortex”, Healng’s “WHATS FUNNY”, Static Ghost’s “Cut A Man’s Throat”, Temptrix’s “History Of Time (INHALT Remix)” and God Tongue’s “the end”. Leere Menge close the record with “Halt Mich”.

Wie Ein Gott previewed “Made By Humans” with Brood Faye’s “I Could B U”. Brood Faye is the industrial darkwave and EBM project of Los Angeles musician Zach Webber, formed in 2021.

About Wie Ein Gott Records

Wie Ein Gott Records is a Berlin electronic label founded in 2022 by Johannes Stabel, the musician behind XTR Human. The label grew out of Stabel’s work as XTR Human, a project that mixes EBM rhythms with 1980s darkwave.

The label opened its catalogue on 24 June 2022 with the compilation “VA#01”, a limited cassette of 50 copies plus digital download that gathered tracks by XTR Human, Oliver, Rudiment, Unconscious, Alpha Sect, Clarissa, Termination_800, Swærm and Endless Nothing.

In 2023 the Japanese dark techno and electro act Baroque released the album “Overexposed” through the label. XTR Human followed with the album “Schrank” in 2024. Wie Ein Gott stayed active into 2026, with the release “Rave God” in April and an XTR Human remix of Absolute Body Control’s “5 Minutes” in February.

“Made By Humans”, released on 10 July 2026, is the label’s newest various-artists compilation, and returns to the format Wie Ein Gott used for its first record.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
