The Autumn Aurora bring a post-punk and darkwave sound built on a rare lineup of two bass guitars, keyboards and drums, with a central passage that turns toward doom metal. The band cites Joy Division, The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees among its reference points.

The band recorded, mixed and mastered the track at GreenMountainAudio Studio with Danilo Silvestri, and centres the song on a “painful awakening” — the moment someone who has waited at an altar for a miracle realizes it will not come.

The Autumn Aurora is a Rome-based post-punk and darkwave band with a female-fronted lineup: Vera Perkins (vocals), Stefano Ferramola (bass), Francesca Buompane (bass), Chiara Bellucco (drums) and Fabrizio “Nemo” Mancini (keyboards). The two-bass setup, with no standard guitar, shapes the band’s low-end, atmospheric sound.
