MNÆ release third single ‘Drive’ with video on August 28
Berlin electro trio MNÆ release their third single “Drive” with a video on August 28, 2026, following “Hold The Tide” and “The Lion” earlier this year.

Berlin trio MNÆ issue their third single, “Drive”, on August 28, 2026, together with a video. The self-released track is the group’s first synthwave-leaning piece, and arrives four months after their debut. MNÆ bring an electronic body music and wave hybrid that mixes pulsing sequences, machine rhythms and pop hooks, and the band describe their sound as sitting “at the intersection of Wave, EBM, and modern electro”.
“Drive” is the third instalment in a run that started in spring 2026. The trio released the single “Hold The Tide” on April 29, followed by the two-track “The Lion” on June 11, which paired the title track with an EvvilKing club edit of “Hold The Tide”. All three releases are self-released, written, mixed and mastered by the band. On “Drive” the group turn towards a period-conscious synthwave palette without reproducing it wholesale; the band describe the track as a modern interpretation of, and homage to, the pioneers of electro pop.
MNÆ have not put “Drive” on Bandcamp ahead of release; the June single “The Lion” is the most recent release available there.
About MNÆ
MNÆ is an electronic trio formed in Berlin in 2026 by Arc Morten, Jan Wilking and Axel Tasler. All three arrived with a considerable amount of prior work behind them. Arc Morten sings and writes in Cyto, the Berlin duo he started with soundtrack composer Christoph Schauer in 2017 and which grew out of the Morphose circle. Jan Wilking and Axel Tasler have both been part of the German electro-industrial group Steril since its formation in Oldenburg in 1990, Wilking on keyboards and programming and Tasler on guitars and programming. Tasler also plays in Audiocall, whose recent records include “Know Your Murderer” in 2024, “A Different World” in 2025 and “Unintentional Presence – Part 2” in 2026. The EvvilKing alias, used for the club edit on “The Lion”, has appeared in the Steril camp since a remix credit on the 2002 single “I Get Closer”.
The band opened its discography on April 29, 2026 with “Hold The Tide”, a self-released single written and produced by all three members. “The Lion” followed on June 11, 2026, adding a second original and the EvvilKing rework. Both are on Bandcamp, and the group’s YouTube channel carries videos for “The Lion” and for both versions of “Hold The Tide”. “Drive” continues that release run and pushes the project further towards melodic electro-pop while keeping the sequenced, club-facing base of the first two singles.
