Hungarian artist Csalogány releases “F3160 (Reimagined)” on August 28, 2026, a second reading of her single “Peremvidék (F3160)”. The original appeared with a video in January 2026 and went on to win Best Experimental at the London Music Video Awards and take second place in the Best Performer category at the Berlin Music Video Awards 2026. It was also selected for the music-video competition at the Odense International Film Festival, held in Denmark from August 24 to 30, 2026.
The title comes from F31.60, the ICD code for a mixed episode of bipolar disorder, in which manic and depressive symptoms can be present at the same time. Csalogány builds her work around psychology and interior states, and sets herself a plainly stated aim: “I am Csalogány and my goal is to make people feel.” Rather than explaining an emotion, she said, her songs are meant to construct a landscape a listener can move through.
The new version comes out of the same premise. An emotional state that contradictory, in her account, cannot be approached from one angle, so “F3160 (Reimagined)” returns to the material from a second position while keeping its emotional core intact. She describes it as the start of a new phase, widening her musical language while keeping the translation of inner experience into sound at the centre of the work.
The video for the original single was directed by Péter Becz and produced by Beyond, with cinematography by Marcell Csillag. It follows a museum attendant whose routine is interrupted by a painting of a horse, after which she turns to dance as a way of building an identity. Dancer and choreographer Bettina Rose Jurák, who plays the attendant, is the performance the Berlin jury placed second.
About Csalogány
Csalogány is the project of Hungarian singer-songwriter and producer Tímea Pászkány. Her music combines electronic production, chanting and Central and Eastern European folk material with lyrics that work through psychological self-examination and religious thinking. She came to wider notice through Kikeltető, a Hungarian programme run by KERET that maps the country’s underground scene and connects emerging musicians with industry professionals and audiences; Csalogány took part in the 2025 edition.
Her recorded output so far includes the four-track EP “The First Thing I Remember, It Is Fire”, released on September 18, 2024, and the album “Szellemzaj, Hústenger” in 2025. The single “Peremvidék (F3160)” followed, with its video published on her official YouTube channel on January 12, 2026. She has played both Hungarian and international stages, and posts under csalogany_ on Instagram.
“F3160 (Reimagined)” arrives on August 28, 2026 and is the first release of what Csalogány describes as a new period for the project.
