Junovion is a new solo synthpop project by Jonathan Jun, a classically trained pianist and violinist who works as a physician, and it opens with the single “Fading Light”. Jun dates the debut EP to October 16, 2026; his own site currently gives a fourth-quarter 2026 window and does not name a title for it. He wrote, produced and mixed the material himself and is releasing it independently.

The track works with layered synthesizer arrangements rather than preset-driven production, and Jun describes “Fading Light” as a song built to carry two readings at once: devotion in the face of loss on one hand, and holding on when everything else goes dark on the other. His stated reference points are the melodic clarity of OMD, the restraint of Depeche Mode, the rhythmic drive of New Order and the cinematic sweep of Alphaville, alongside a classical background he says shapes the arrangement work under the synths.

Jun connects the two halves of his working life directly. “Outside music, I’m a full-time physician,” he stated. “I take the same care with my songcraft as I do with medicine.”

About Junovion

Junovion is the solo electronic project of Jonathan Jun, who trained classically on piano and violin before moving into synthesizer-based songwriting, and who practises medicine and spent a long stretch of that career in sleep medicine. The project’s public history is short. Jun opened a YouTube channel under the Junovion name and posted its first three videos on August 21, 2026: “Fading Light”, “Wish I Could Fly” and “Remember Your Dream”. A fourth and fifth piece, “Halfway to the Finish Line” and an acoustic version of it, appear alongside them on his site.

Jun handles writing, production and mixing himself, and the recordings have not been placed with a label. “Fading Light” is the lead track from the debut EP and is currently available through the project’s YouTube channel and SoundCloud page, with a pre-save link covering Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Beyond those, no streaming or physical availability has been confirmed. Jun has said he wants the EP out on October 16, 2026, which would make it the first Junovion release to reach the major platforms.
