Belarusian artist Pavel Malyshkin, known as Ugasanie, continues to impress with a prolific output over the past 15 years. His latest album, “Cold World Of Eternity”, invites listeners into a chilling sci-fi realm, crafted with Dark-Cinematic and Drone influences. The atmosphere is dense and frigid, gradually building a hostile, imaginary world accentuated by field recordings, percussion, and sharp, metallic sounds. About Ugasanie
Ugasanie was formed in autumn 2010 by Pavel Malyshkin, who spent six months in the Arctic Circle on the Yamal Peninsula, an experience that shaped the project’s recurring themes of the north and the tundra. Malyshkin uses synthesizers, field recordings, and live instruments including the khomus (jaw harp), ocarina, zhaleyka, and guitar to build his material. Ugasanie released the album “Border Of Worlds” on Cryo Chamber in 2016, and continues that Dark-Cinematic and Drone-based sound on “Cold World Of Eternity”.
