Synthrave Live, a new synthwave festival, makes its debut at Corporation in Sheffield on Saturday 14 November 2026. The first edition, billed as Volume 1, runs from 13:00 to 22:30, is open to ages 14 and over, and has tickets on sale now.

The announced line-up is Waveshaper, LeBrock, Wolfclub, New Arcades, Nightstop, Skyracer, Ace Buchannon and 80’s Stallone, with more acts to be confirmed, spanning outrun, synth-pop and synth-rock; the day also features DJ sets, retro arcade machines and vendors. The festival takes place at Corporation, 2 Milton Street, Sheffield S1 4JU, with doors at 13:00, and tickets are available through the Synthrave Live (Volume 1) event page.

Synthrave Live grew out of Synthrave, a project founded by Shaun Phillips of the British synthwave duo LeBrock. It began during the COVID pandemic as a weekly online DJ set tied to a mental-health awareness initiative, then expanded into a live event organised by Phillips with Dan Fox and Connor McGovern, built around the music, films and games of 1980s and retro-futurist culture.

Since you’re here

we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
