One Must Forget, the post-industrial project of Polish musician Michał Kiełbasa and vocalist EA, have released their debut album “Pillars of Shame” through the German label Ant-Zen. The record came out digitally on 18 June 2026 and arrives on a limited vinyl edition of 100 copies. The duo describe their sound as “angstpop”, a cold, minimal strain of industrial built on hardware and analog decay.

One Must Forget detail ‘Pillars of Shame’

One Must Forget pair Kiełbasa’s hardware-based industrial with the vocals of EA, credited only as an enigmatic female vocalist. The album balances stripped-back minimalism with heavier machine rhythms, feedback and white noise, set against slower melodic passages. Kiełbasa recorded, produced, mixed and mastered the record at Antisound Studio in Tarnowskie Góry in 2025, and Ant-Zen founder Stefan Alt handled the artwork.

The digital album runs to twelve tracks: “Above an Emptiness”, “Suffering Engaged”, “Light without Me”, “Pillars of Shame”, “From a Person to Nothing”, “Grief Design”, “Nature of Mankind”, “Hate”, “Guilt”, “Choose My Own Death”, “Under the Water” and “To the Point of Tears”. The 100-copy vinyl pressing carries ten of the twelve tracks, on black vinyl in a matte black die-cut sleeve with a digital download code.

About One Must Forget

One Must Forget is a Polish and French project fronted by Michał Kiełbasa, who also records as Neithan and works out of Tarnowskie Góry in southern Poland. Kiełbasa is active across several projects: Whalesong, the experimental band he formed in 2009 that mixes sludge, doom, noise rock and post-punk; Lugola, his noise and power-electronics solo project started in 2012; and Harmony of Struggle, a power-electronics project he founded in 2020. “Pillars of Shame” is the debut release under the One Must Forget name, made with vocalist EA.

Ant-Zen, which releases the album, is a German label founded in 1994 by Stefan Alt, its name derived from “Anti Zensur”. The label has documented industrial, rhythmic noise, power electronics and ambient for three decades. “Pillars of Shame” adds One Must Forget to that catalogue as a debut, and the limited vinyl run keeps the release in line with Ant-Zen’s small-batch physical editions.
