Night In Athens is a Greek project based in London, UK. Following their self-released album in 2021, they return with a new collection of 9 tracks that dive into an Electro-Wave sound. Their music draws heavily from 80s influences, evoking an electronic version of The Cure, paired with a feminine, sterile vocal style reminiscent of Anne Clark. The minimalist production, with its icy strings, may sound simple, but it’s undeniably effective. This album is a cool discovery, packed with several catchy songs. (Rating:8).

About Night In Athens
NIA emerged from the DIY London punk scene in 2020, where she used to be a keyboardist in bands. Based in her East London room during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, NIA began writing and producing “to exorcise her demons”. “Metropolis” was the project’s debut EP in 2021 and mixed punk, darkwave, and coldwave.
She continued releasing recordings like 2022s “Creme Seen” which is a proto minimal-synth track mixed with analog synthwave with a touch of electroclash added. “Wasted Reflektions” followed on digital, CD, vinyl and cassette through Danse Macabre Records and Wave Records. Side-Line later published an interview with Night In Athens about her approach to performing and songwriting.
