Lights Of Euphoria – My Escape (Digital EP – Infacted Recordings)
Jimmy Machon and Torben Schmidt return with a new release featuring three original tracks and two remixes of the title song.
All three songs share a distinct Electro-Pop approach, marked by a minimal sound that is heavily influenced by Depeche Mode. While this influence isn’t entirely new, the resemblance has never been so explicit. These tracks lean more toward introspective listening rather than the dancefloor.
In contrast, the Beborn Beton remix and the “Club Mix” of “My Escape” are highly danceable—and easily stand out as the two highlights of an EP that, overall, feels more introspective. (Rating:7).

About Lights Of Euphoria
Lights Of Euphoria is an Electro-Industrial and Futurepop group from Germany, active since 1992. The project began as a single song, “Subjection”, featuring Claus Larsen of Leaether Strip on vocals, released on the Zoth Ommog compilation “Body Rapture”. Jimmy Machon (vocals) and Torben Schmidt (instruments, production) then developed it into a full band.
The debut album “Brainstorm” followed on Zoth Ommog, along with “Thoughtmachine” (1995), “Beyond Subconsciousness” (1996), “Fahrenheit” (1997, released in the US as “Blood Brothers”), and “Voices” (1998). After moving to Accession Records, the group released the singles “True Life”, “One Nation”, and “Fading Moments”, followed by the albums “Krieg Gegen die Maschinen” (2003) and “Gegen den Strom” (2004), and the compilation “Querschnitt”.
Torben Schmidt went on to found Infacted Recordings and toured with Suicide Commando, and the band’s activity slowed for several years before the comeback album “Traumatized” in 2016, followed by “Altered Voices” (2020), “Angels” and “Suicidal” (both 2022). Now Jimmy Machon and Torben Schmidt return with the “My Escape” EP on Infacted Recordings, featuring a remix by Beborn Beton.
