The Swedish minimalistic electro-pop act Elektroklänge will release their second conceptual album “Motorik” in May. The album is the follow-up to their 2022 album “Komposituation” and was already teased by the recently released the “Abfahrt” EP.

Musically the project revives the vintage Kraftwerkian “Düsseldorf sound” adding an own signature style. And if you pay attention it will not exactly be a secret that “Motorik” is inspired by Kraftwerk’s groundbreaking “Autobahn” album, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Even the cover artwork is close to that of the 2009 remastered version.

The album will hold 10 tracks, of which you can already check out 2 below. You can already pre-order the album on CD via the Alfa Matrix webstore, or as download via Bandcamp. And for those who want some more electropop in one go, Alfa Matrix also offers a packet holding this album plus the new full lengths from Metroland, Cubic and Aiboforcen at a special price.

You can check out the band’s previous album right below.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
