Background/Info: Body Pleasure is a Swedish EBM project set up and driven by Erik Hasselberg. After having released some productions during the first decade of the millennium, we can speak about a comeback. This single features two tracks.
Content: “Musik Und Kunst” sounds like a good-old EBM mixed with some Electroclash elements and a Techno-Body touch on top. The single features 2 songs, which are exactly similar except the language; one with German vocals and the other with English vocals.
+ + + : One single cut is not enough to say Body Pleasure is making a successful return, but this single reveals a true potential. It’s not just an EBM emulation, but a mix of different related genres, but in the end I like the old-school approach. It’s also pretty cool to get the same song, but sung in different languages. I personally have a preference for the “Deutschland Mix”.

Conclusion: Swedish EBM now with German vocals and then with English ones, but definitely old-school driven with a refreshing touch on top.

“Musik Und Kunst”, released digitally in 2021, presented the same two songs in German and English versions and marked the project’s first new material since its earlier releases in the 2000s.
