Out via Manic Depression is the new album by the Swedish solo dark wave project Aux Animaux album “Body Horror”. The album comes in limited black vinyl (200) and on CD. Theis Stockholm-based female artist mixes dark synth tunes with dystopic sounds and haunting vocals… and theremin.

Aux Animaux released her first songs in 2017 and then has been touring both in Sweden and the rest of Europe, opening for artist such as She Past Away, Hante and Then Comes Silence among others. EBM influences can be heard especially in tracks such as “Sleep Paralysis”, “Venus Lucifer”, “Blackout” and “Night”. Horror influences are clearly heard on the album with samples taken from the movies such as “The Shining”, “Halloween” or “Dracula”.

You can order the download from Bandcamp.

Below you can also check out two videos. All songs on this album were written, produced and mixed by Aux Animaux, except “Night” which was mixed by Doruk Öztürkcan (She Past Away) who also did the mastering for the album.

About Aux Animaux

Aux Animaux was founded in 2015 by musician Gözde Düzer in Stockholm. Gözde Düzer, originally from Istanbul, now resides in Stockholm and has also spent some months in Strasbourg. She plays bass guitar and theremin and describes her music as hauntwave. Gözde Düzer is married to Jonas Fransson who plays drums for Then Comes Silence.

The French project name aux animaux translates to “for the animals” and reflects the animal rights movement and veganism. Her video for “Lost Souls” features footage from the animal rights organization Djurrättsalliansen. In March 2023 she published the EP “Operatione Daemonum” as Melaina Chole.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
