Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan intervenes in fight at LA concert - Watch the video now
During a Depeche Mode concert at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, frontman Dave Gahan intervened to stop a fight that broke out in the crowd. The incident occurred while the band was performing “Never Let Me Down Again”. Gahan paused the performance to address the situation near the stage and inquiring if everyone was okay.
Gahan used his mic to address the people involved in the row saying: “Hey, nothing’s that important (…) he’s lost his fucking phone. That’s what he’s worried about. His phone. There’s enough shit going on in the world without you guys.”
After slapping hands with one of the people involved in the row, the band resumed by starting “Never Let Me Down Again” allover again.
The Los Angeles concert was part of the North American leg of Depeche Mode’s ‘Memento Mori Tour’. A few days ago Depeche Mode members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore were honored with “Depeche Mode Day” at Los Angeles City Hall.
Below is a video of the incident.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
