Sevit – Sevit (Digital/Vinyl Album – Sevit)
This is the second album by the American band Sevit. Four years after their debut, “On The Edge Of A Darker Place”, the band has evolved their sound. While they remain rooted in the 80s Dark-Wave and Post-Punk aesthetic, their production now leans slightly towards an Indie-Pop/Rock vibe. Many tracks are driven by powerful, uplifting choruses that create an elevating effect. The interplay between the male lead vocals and the female backing vocals adds a compelling dynamic. This is a highly enjoyable album, with some standout tracks that truly shine, particularly towards the end. (Rating:7½).

About Sevit
Sevit is a darkwave band from Texas that blends electronic soundscapes, rock guitar and melodic bass. The live lineup is fronted by lead vocalist Mario Tremaine, with keyboardist Cam B., guitarist Brian Weems and bassist Maddie Fritz.
The band’s catalog includes the EP “A Darker Place” from 2020 and the debut album “On The Edge Of A Darker Place”. The self-titled second album “Sevit” was released in September 2024 on CD, LP and the major streaming platforms, with the album track “Witch’s Broom” also issued as a single.
