SDH – Rider (Digital/CD/Vinyl Album – Artoffact Records)
Based in Barcelona, SDH (Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms) released their third album this year, marking their first release on Artoffact Records.
The album offers ten relatively short tracks that blend a variety of influences. One moment, the music leans toward Electro-Wave; the next, it adopts a harder, Body Pop-inspired edge. Elsewhere, the sound shifts into more Pop-oriented territory, occasionally even embracing Dance elements. As a result, there is plenty to explore and discover throughout the record. Adding to its appeal is the distinctive half-whispered vocal style of Andrea Pérez, which gives the songs an intimate and recognizable character. Every track has something interesting to offer, although I personally find myself most drawn to the harder-hitting compositions.
Diversity is undoubtedly the album’s greatest strength, making it accessible to a broad-minded audience with varied musical tastes. My only criticism is that some of the songs feel a little too short, leaving me wanting more. Nevertheless, this remains a highly enjoyable release, filled with memorable moments and several standout tracks. (Rating:8).

About SDH
SDH (Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms) is an electronic duo formed by Andrea P. Latorre and Sergi Algiz in Barcelona, Spain. The project released a self-titled debut album in 2018, followed by the EPs “Against Strong Thinking” and “Maybe a Body”.
The duo’s second album, “Fake Is Real”, followed in 2023 on the Avant! label, on black vinyl and CD. It was written and recorded in Barcelona and Valencia between 2020 and 2021, with vocals recorded by Opio del Mono at Millenia Studios in Valencia, production and mixing by Kris Baha, and mastering by Gianni Peri. Further singles and remixes followed, including “Denial”, “Hectic (MTAC Interfront Remix)”, “Talk In Dreams (M!R!M! Remix)”, “Do I Look Like I’m Laughing? (MVTANT Remix)”, “Lovers Wonder”, and “Threshold”.
SDH’s third album, “Rider”, followed in 2026 as the duo’s first release on Artoffact Records, available on digital, CD, and blue vinyl LP.
