Résonance Magnétique, the rhythmic industrial, noise and dark ambient project of French musician Ludovic Dhenry, has released “atomic mass unit”, a standalone single issued on 7 July 2026 through Neris Records. Dhenry composed, performed, mixed and mastered the track, which runs a little over six minutes and streams on Bandcamp.

Inside Résonance Magnétique’s ‘atomic mass unit’

“atomic mass unit” is built on a distorted drum machine and rigid martial cadences, with harsh noise synths cutting through the sequence before a dark ambient pad enters around the 1:15 mark. Dhenry describes the piece as one that “operates like a relentless, automated machine,” holding that mechanical tension across the full six minutes. The single carries the catalogue number NERIS 034 and sits closer to industrial and noise than the ambient and minimal-electro work Dhenry has issued under the same name in the past.

The track arrives after a recent gothic and neoclassical release under his Exponentia project, and Dhenry uses Résonance Magnétique to isolate his most mechanical and distorted electronic material across his separate projects.

About Résonance Magnétique

Résonance Magnétique is a project of Ludovic Dhenry, a French musician and the founder of Neris Records. Dhenry works across several projects that split his output by style: the darkwave and neoclassical act Exponentia, the related project Zauber, Eleventh Fear, and Résonance Magnétique.

The project began on the ambient side before moving toward electronic composition. Side-Line reviewed the 2021 EP “Paranormal Events”, released on Neris Records, which shifted Résonance Magnétique into minimal-electro, experimental and IDM territory. Its Bandcamp catalogue also holds the releases “Sign” and “Revoke”. “atomic mass unit” continues that progression, pushing the project further into rhythmic industrial and noise.
