Raison D’être releases 30 year anniversary 4CD boxset for ‘Prospectus I’
Out on August 25th via Cyclic Law in a limited edition of 300 copies is the 30 year anniversary boxset of Raison D’être’s “Prospectus I” album. The set holds 4 CDs in sleeves, housed in a rigid box with lid, with matt lamination including a fold out 12 page booklet.
This classic dark ambient soundscape album was originally released in 1993 on the now defunct Cold Meat Industry label. Offered in this massive 4 CD boxset is a completely new re-recording of the original album, made in 2022, in order to obtain the highest sound quality and mix of this 30 year old opus.
Disc 2 in the set contains additional unreleased session tracks, also re-recorded in 2022. Disc 3 gives you the original album in a remastered version and finally disc 4 offers additional session tracks from the period in their original versions.
The boxset is a co-release with Yantra Atmospheres. Read the review of ‘Prospectus I’.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.

Chief editor of Side-Line – which basically means I spend my days wading through a relentless flood of press releases from labels, artists, DJs, and zealous correspondents. My job? Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil. Besides music I’m also an SEO and AI content flow specialist and have an interest in everything finance from stocks to crypto. There is music in everything!
