Out via the Hamburg-based label Echo Beach on March 1st is the Kraftwerk tribute “Kraft”Dub”Werk” by Kid Loco meets Soul Sugar.

Behind Kid Loco we find Frenchman Jean-Yves Prieur, who released singles like “She”s My Lover” and “Love Me Sweet” and the album “A Grand Love Story”. Guillaume Méténier aka Soul Sugar has been featured on numerous Kid Loco productions for more than twenty years.

The Hamburg label Echo Beach, which has already issued dub commissions for a number of pop and new wave classics, now does it again with dub-versions of some of the greatest classics by German cult-act Kraftwerk. One of the tracks was already released on the compilation “King Size Dub Vol.23”.

The release is out on vinyl and on CD, however the CD includes 4 bonus-tracks.

The tracklist:

  1. Ruckzuck
  2. Autobahn (Bass Version)
  3. Radioactivity
  4. Antenna (Vox Edit)
  5. Trans Europa Express
  6. The Robots
  7. Neon Lights
  8. Computer Love

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
