Industrial rock act Jesus on Extasy will release their new full-length “Between Despair and Disbelief” on 12 September 2025 via Metropolis Records. The record follows the singles “Somewhat Happy” and “Soul Crusher”, which preview the album’s heavier direction. “It looks like the world is going to hell. We might as well deliver the soundtrack for that,” says frontman Dorian Deveraux.
The album will be out on digital platforms and as a vinyl LP.
Jesus on Extasy will support Die Krupps on European dates in late August and September 2025, including London (The Dome) on 21 September. The band is also announced for selected dates on KMFDM’s Europe 2026 tour (February–March).
About Jesus on Extasy
Formed in Essen, Germany in 2005 by Dorian Deveraux and Chai Deveraux, Jesus on Extasy emerged with the demo EP “Assassinate Us” before signing to Drakkar Entertainment following a Bochum Total festival appearance in 2006.
The debut album “Holy Beauty” (2007) and follow-up “Beloved Enemy” (2008) established the band’s electronic/industrial rock profile. In 2010, “No Gods” arrived (EU via Drakkar; North America via Artoffact Records), while “The Clock” (2011) was released through Farscape Records in Germany and via Artoffact in North America.
After a hiatus announced in 2014, Jesus on Extasy resumed activity in 2020, issuing new material in 2023–2025 and signing with Metropolis Records for the forthcoming album. The current core lineup centers on Dorian Deveraux and Chai Deveraux. Read the review of ‘Between Despair And Disbelief’.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
