(Photo by Miha Rekar) The Berlin Public Prosecution Office has discontinued the criminal investigation into Rammstein’s lead singer, Till Lindemann. The prosecution stated that no evidence of criminal behaviour was found.

Lindemann became controversial following allegations of sexual misconduct at concerts. Lindemann’s team allegedly sought women to engage in sexual activities with him. These women were purportedly offered front row seats at concerts and reportedly provided drugs and alcohol at after-parties. The 60-year-old singer has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct. The allegations caused a significant stir.

“The review of the available evidence (…) and the interviews of witnesses did not determine that the accused had non-consensual sexual relations with women,” said the Berlin Prosecution Office.

Lindemann’s legal representatives expressed their satisfaction with the decision in Die Welt. “The biases against our client on social media and in the media had no foundation,” commented lawyer Simon Bergmann. “The allegations were completely unfounded.”

The same happened with allegations made by fans after a Rammstein concert in Vilnius. Those were also not prosecuted any further as “no objective factual evidence” was found after examining and evaluating the information received to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
