Dual Analog release second album, ‘The Wheel’ – Out now

Dual Analog
Dual Analog, Seattle’s “turbowave” duo, has released its second full-length album, “The Wheel”. The concept of this album draws inspiration from the Buddhist “dharma chakra”, or “Wheel of Law”, symbolizing the inescapable cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The protagonist finds themselves in an endless loop, repeatedly living the same life and making the same mistakes.
According to front-man Chip Roberts, “The Wheel” reflects the band’s struggles following their debut album. “After Lust, Worship, and Desire, it felt like we were releasing music into a void,” Roberts explains. “This album represents those feelings of futility and the search for a way to break that repetitive cycle”.
Musically, The Wheel dives deeper into a darker, more nihilistic tone and the duo has infused extended-range guitars and cold basslines. Roberts and bandmate Kurtis Skinner describe the album as a marked shift from their earlier work, embracing bleak and introspective themes.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
