International electro-industrial group Damage Control released the single “Manifesto” on 17 July 2026 via Metropolis Records, a collaboration with Canadian duo OHMelectronic.

‘Manifesto’ lyrics written and sung by Craig Huxtable

OHMelectronic pairs Chris Peterson (Unit:187, Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Decree) with Craig Huxtable (Noise Unit, Landscape Body Machine). Huxtable wrote and sang the lyrics to “Manifesto”, exploring themes of sovereignty and personhood in the digital age. He stated: “It is about sticking to your principles in an age of hyper disinformation. There is a lot of manipulation, false narratives and false idols out there. We are bombarded every day and we all need to stand strong in the face of it all. Declare your independency, set yourself free.”

Peterson mixed the track, and mastering came from Greg Reely, whose credits include Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly and Fear Factory. “Manifesto” follows Damage Control’s “Master Of Silence” EP, released via Metropolis Records in mid-June 2026 and collecting four songs recorded with Danish musician Leæther Strip (Claus Larsen): “Oblivion”, “Rage“, “Obstacles” and “Crowned”. “Rage”, issued on 30 January 2026, was Damage Control’s first release through Metropolis Records.

About Damage Control

Damage Control is an international electro-industrial collaboration centred on Bill Barsby and Richard Thacker, both originally from Birmingham, England and now based in Australia, together with Alex Wise (Sydney) and Markus App (Germany). Barsby founded the project in Melbourne in 2012 with Thacker and Wise; App, whom Barsby had connected with online through his project Noonatac, joined as the lineup took shape. Debut album “Ultranoia”, produced by Damage Control and mixed and mastered by Chris Peterson with sonic finishing by Greg Reely, arrived in 2017 on the band’s own Rarefaction Records and featured guest vocals from Craig Huxtable of OHMelectronic. Side-Line spoke with Barsby about the project’s approach in a 2018 Click Interview.

A companion remix set, “Hypernoia The Remixes”, followed on 15 December 2020, expanding into a full-length collaborative project with contributions from Phil Western, Gin Devo, Tom Slug and Markus App, again mixed and mastered largely by Chris Peterson. Work then began on a third album, provisionally titled “Oblivion Grid”, bringing in Leæther Strip as a recurring guest vocalist alongside Chris Peterson’s continued production and Greg Reely’s mastering. That cycle produced the singles “Rage” (January 2026) and “Oblivion” (April 2026), gathered on the “Master Of Silence” EP in June 2026, before “Manifesto” opened a new, OHMelectronic-fronted chapter of the same album cycle in July 2026.

OHMelectronic, the Vancouver-based project of Chris Peterson and Craig Huxtable, released the albums “Ohm” in 2013 and a self-titled second album in 2019, the latter previewed by Side-Line in an exclusive pre-listen and covered in a 2019 Click Interview. The duo recently resumed activity to record new material, of which “Manifesto” is the first fruit alongside Damage Control.
