Złe Oko – Xenos (Album – Digital/CD Zoharum)
Olga23 is a Polish artist currently based in Oslo, Norway. About five years ago, she quietly released her debut album “Cykuta”, which went largely unnoticed. Now, she returns with a powerful new release in collaboration with Zoharum. Olga23 defines her music as a blend of ‘feminoise, drone, and punk.’ Her latest opus features 9 tracks, each driven by a slow, sultry tempo. Hypnotic Electronic loops and Industrial sound treatments intertwine with her vocals, sung in her native Polish. The album’s icy, atmospheric production highlights her creativity, making this a standout discovery that comes highly recommended. (Rate:8).

About Złe Oko
Złe Oko, Polish for “evil eye”, is the one-person project of Olga23, a graphic designer, collage author, and former bassist of the downtempo punk band DNO. Originally from Warsaw and now living in Oslo, she describes her music as feminoise, drone, and punk. She debuted in 2019 with the album “Cykuta”, mixing early-1990s industrial echoes with conceptual anarcho-punk influences and Polish-language lyrics built on pagan motifs.
“Xenos”, released on April 23, 2024 as a digital album and CD digipack in cooperation between Zoharum and DIY Koło, is her second album and the release reviewed here.
