We Are Rewind unveils Pink Floyd ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ cassette player
We Are Rewind’s WE-001 gets a Pink Floyd edition bundled with an exclusive “The Dark Side of the Moon” cassette, priced £159/€179/$199.

We Are Rewind will unveil a Pink Floyd edition of its WE-001 cassette player on July 16, 2026, paired with an exclusive cassette pressing of Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon.” The limited-edition set is priced at £159, €179 and $199 and follows We Are Rewind’s Duran Duran “Pop Trash” cassette player from December 2025 as the brand’s second artist-collaboration edition.
Why Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ gets a cassette exclusive
The cassette included in the set is described as a specially remastered pressing tied to the album’s 50th-anniversary campaign, which Side-Line covered in 2023 around its box-set reissue. Starscream Communications, handling press for the launch, states this cassette is exclusive to the We Are Rewind bundle and the only cassette version of that 50th-anniversary remaster.
Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason commented on the format: “I still have enormous affection for the cassette. It really was a major breakthrough – not only with the Sony Walkman but with some of the more up-market recorders. I still have my Nakamichi on the shelf and look forward to testing it with the new ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ cassette.”
We Are Rewind founder and CEO Romain Boudruche added: “To call ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ a classic album is an understatement. In many ways, it set the tone for what an album experience should be as a continuous piece of sonic art but also used state-of-the-art production techniques and sounds which make it a true musical experience. We’re happy that We Are Rewind can play a part in helping preserve the physical album experience.”
The player itself carries Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, a rechargeable battery rated for up to 12 hours of playback, line-in recording for making mixtapes, and a frequency response of 30 Hz to 14,500 Hz (±3 dB). We Are Rewind cites cassette sales growth of 17.5% year on year in the US and 53% in the UK as context for the format’s continued run of releases. The set is available through retailers including Amazon, Rough Trade, Selfridges, Tower Records and Discogs, alongside We Are Rewind’s own site.
