Electronic producer Thomas Gold has released a new version of New Order’s seminal 1983 track “Blue Monday”.

“‘Blue Monday’ has always been one of those tracks—raw, iconic, and timeless,” Gold says. “I’ve always dreamed of putting my own spin on it, not to recreate the past, but to fuse its original vibe with the sounds of now. I wanted it to hit hard, feel fresh, and still nod to its roots. When Dim Mak got behind it, that was the green light. I hope DJs will tear it up in their sets, and that people feel the same rush I’ve always felt when this track drops. Super stoked for this one!”

Why we ask

Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
