The Unnamed Fear release self-titled single ‘The Unnamed Fear’ with video
Berlin industrial dark rock duo The Unnamed Fear released the single and video “The Unnamed Fear” on 31 October 2026, self-released.

Berlin-based industrial dark rock duo The Unnamed Fear released the self-titled single “The Unnamed Fear,” together with a music video, on 31 October 2026. The track is self-released.
“The Unnamed Fear” is the duo’s second single, following their debut, “Hysteria.” The band describes the new track’s theme as the fear of something that has no face yet still exerts control. “For us the unnamed fear is the grief of abandonment and the ominous presence of something without a face. Call it trauma, call it the Big Other: we are all caught in this web,” the band said.
The Unnamed Fear consists of Alisha (vocals, visuals) and Anto (vocals, composition, guitars, lyrics). Their sound combines synthesizers, drum machines and industrial guitars. The band cites musical references ranging from L’Γme Immortelle to Assemblage 23 and Terminal Choice.
The video was filmed at Reel2Reel Studio in Berlin, based on a concept by Alisha. Set against a red backdrop, the duo perform as a faceless figure slowly emerges from the darkness. The figure gives the song its title but is never fully revealed.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.

For almost 15 years I’ve been writing about music, interviewing artists and reviewing releases for Peek-A-Boo Magazine. Recently, I also launched my own WordPress website, where I continue to share interviews, reviews and news from the underground scene. The darker side of music has been part of my life for more than 30 years, with a passion for everything from ’80s synthpop and New Wave to EBM, Futurepop and dark electronic music in general. Also Metal and Rock is part of my world. Away from the scene, I work in a public library, where books are part of my everyday life. I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction, especially books on politics, religion, health and travel. I’m also a fan of thrillers and horror films. When I’m not listening to music or reading, you’ll usually find me exploring nature, enjoying a good sauna, experimenting with vegan cooking, or travelling to my second home, Finland. I’ve always believed the underground has the best stories. My job is simply to help tell them
