About Rogue Unit vs Darkvolt and Rhys Fulber

Rogue Unit vs Darkvolt is a collaboration between Belgian producer Rogue Unit and vocalist Darkvolt. Rogue Unit is an industrial-techno project oriented toward club-focused material with a darker, atmospheric edge, while Darkvolt operates as an electro-industrial / dark-electro vocalist and songwriter.

Darkvolt’s catalogue includes the full-length album “Songs for Halloween”, which combines EBM, darkwave and industrial elements and was released via DressCode Black. On Side-Line we have previously covered Darkvolt’s digital single “White Lie“. Darkvolt also appeared in the remix context of CauseNation.

Rhys Fulber, born 10 October 1970 in Vancouver, Canada, is a producer, composer and musician. He is widely recognised as a key member and collaborator of Front Line Assembly, the electro-industrial band founded by Bill Leeb, and of Delerium, the duo whose single “Silence” featuring Sarah McLachlan became an international club and radio success. As part of Delerium, Fulber co-wrote and produced “Silence”, which has been repeatedly reissued and remixed since its original 1999 single release.

Parallel to his band work, Fulber has maintained an extensive solo career. Since 2017 he has released a sequence of albums and EPs that connect industrial, EBM and techno, including “Your Dystopia, My Utopia” (2018) and “Ostalgia” (2019), both issued on Sonic Groove, and “Brutal Nature” (2021) on FR Recordings. More recently he released “Memory Impulse Autonomy” (2025) on Artoffact Records.

Fulber’s production and remix credits extend into metal and industrial-metal, including work with Fear Factory and involvement around the “Demanufacture” era, as well as contributions linked to Nailbomb’s live activity. His remixes for electro-industrial acts include contributions to Skinny Puppy’s remix collection “Remix Dys Temper”,.

In addition to album work, Fulber has written music for contemporary media. The tracks “Drained” (with Sao Mai) and “Subvert” (with Spooneater) feature on the “Cyberpunk 2077: More Music From Night City Radio (Original Soundtrack)”, released in 2021 by Lakeshore Records.
