Out now is “Introspect”, a compilation album by the post-punk/new wave band Giant Waves, recently signed to SkyQode. Musically the band has been mixing post-punk, gothic rock, and new wave into an own sound.

“Introspect” serves as a definitive collection of tracks from Giant Waves’ previous albums, offering a comprehensive journey through the band’s history. Additionally, this compilation includes a brand new track titled “Empty Tombs”, which provides a glimpse into the band’s forthcoming third album scheduled for release later this year.

Giant Waves are Ilya Volchansky on vocals, Michael Kirilenko on guitars and Andy Fomin on drums programming. Formed in 2012 following the disbandment of their previous gothic rock project, Imaginary Stigma, Giant Waves have released two full-length albums and several EPs to date. Note that Giant Waves is also known for their cold-pop side project called Karluv Tyn.

Why we ask

Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
