Genre/Influences: EBM.

Format: Digital.

Background/Info: This project features American Mach Fox (Zwaremachine) and Irish D.Corri aka Zeven Odd Gods. They already recorded a few songs and delivered their debut-EP featuring three songs.

Content: The songs are driven by aggressive, EBM-minded, bass lines recovered with a dark mood. The vocals have been produced in a harsh way which is reinforcing the malefic sound expression.

+ + + : I already liked the work of Mach Fox inside Zwaremachine and I’m also convinced by this side-project. It’s more EBM driven but still pretty dark revealing well-crafted, sophisticated songs. There’s something to say about each single song. I even prefer “Dirty Noise” to the title song.

– – – : The songs maybe need a few adjusts, but this band is clearly ready to go further.

Conclusion: “A Sickness” is a promising Dark-EBM debut.

Best Songs: “Dirty Noise”, “A Sickness”, “Hybrid Mind”.

Rate: 8.

About Mach Fox & Zeven Odd Gods

Mach Fox & Zeven Odd Gods pairs American musician Mach FoX, the vocalist of Zwaremachine, with Irish musician D.Corri, who records as Zeven Odd Gods. The two first worked together on the “Ripping At The Fabric” EP, released via Zwaremachine in 2020.

Outside the duo, Mach FoX released the solo album “VideoLogico” through Phage Tapes in 2022 and has also paired with musician Maroco for the “Now Beginning” EP. “A Sickness” is the second EP Mach FoX and Zeven Odd Gods have produced together, continuing the same minimal-EBM-riff and electro-industrial approach as their first collaboration.
