“Trace” marks the third album by the Greek duo Incirrina. George Katsanos and Irini Tiniakou have crafted 11 tracks that naturally continue the musical direction established on their previous releases.

We are treated to a collection of well-crafted Electro-Wave compositions, distinguished above all by superb vintage synth sounds. These warm, analog textures create a captivating listening experience. The music is highly danceable, with several tracks even embracing a distinct club-oriented feel. Although the album also features a handful of more atmospheric and melancholic moments, its greatest strength lies in the harder, dance-driven songs. The vocal delivery occasionally recalls that of their compatriots Paradox Obscur, sharing a similarly detached yet sensual approach that perfectly complements the music’s atmosphere. A particularly nice touch is the closing track, performed in Greek, which provides a memorable conclusion to the album.

“Trace” is an infectious and accomplished release from a band that had already shown considerable promise. Offering greater variety than its predecessors, it successfully blends different influences into a cohesive, engaging, and highly enjoyable whole. (Rating:8).
