Imjudas – Viscerheart (Album – Digital/CD – Spleen+)
“Viscerheart” is the second album by Italian artist Maxx Maryan, well known for his work with Helalyn Flowers. Released by Spleen+ (a subdivision of Alfa Matrix), this new project revisits the 80s Electro-Wave nostalgia but infuses it with a personal, harder Pop style. Compared to its predecessor, “Viscerheart” has a slightly softer edge and explores a kind of ‘freestyle’ that adds a touch of originality to the album. The opening tracks are particularly compelling, and the production quality is noteworthy, especially the vocals, which are both sensual and powerful. (Rate: 7½).

IMJUDAS is the solo project of Italian artist Maxx Maryan, also known as the male half of Helalyn Flowers. He launched the project with the debut EP “Tulpa” in November 2017, followed by the EP “Ritual” in November 2021 and the debut album “Yrjudas”, released as a limited double CD in February 2022. Maryan also records as Black Shine Fever, a separate project that released the album “Via Negativa” in 2020. IMJUDAS followed with the single “I Love You” and the EP “Stjudas” via Spleen+ in 2023, before “Viscerheart” arrived on Bandcamp and CD via Alfa Matrix in 2024.
