Sheffield, UK dark electronic duo IAMIMPERFECT released the five-track EP “Ghosts” on May 1, 2026, through Bandcamp. The EP is available as a digital album and on CD in a six-panel ecopak, with artwork built from double-exposed film photographs.

“Ghosts” runs five tracks: “Surviving Is Not Living” (6:45), “The Fallen” (4:07), “Conversion Therapy” (4:34), “Solitary Shell” (4:54) and “Ghosts Of The Past” (4:25). Paul Jackson wrote the lyrics and handled vocals, synths and programming, with Kelly Dorset on guitars. Andrew Hawnt contributed solo ideas for “Ghosts Of The Past.” Andy McBain mixed the EP and Kolja Trelle mastered it at Koltron.
The band describes “Ghosts” as a blend of darkwave, synth-pop, industrial and goth, built around synth arrangements, electronic drums, distorted guitar and layered vocal harmonies. IAMIMPERFECT worked with Sheffield photographer Stephen Carley, who directed the band’s 2024 video for “Static & Feeling,” to shoot a set of double-exposed film photographs for the release. Scott D’Arcy then developed the images into artwork matched to each track’s theme; Carley is credited for photography and D’Arcy for artwork and layout.
IAMIMPERFECT released a lyric video for “Surviving Is Not Living” alongside the EP. The band described “Ghosts” as centered on “awful feelings nagging at you, never leaving you a moment of peace,” citing pressure to fit in, comparison to others and the weight of watching everyone else appear to cope.

“Ghosts” streams and downloads through Bandcamp as a digital album priced from ÂŁ5, and on CD for ÂŁ10 in a six-panel ecopak that ships within five days of order. The band also confirmed the EP is available on Spotify.

IAMIMPERFECT is a dark electronic duo based in Sheffield, UK, consisting of Paul Jackson (lyrics, vocals, synths, programming) and Kelly Dorset (guitars). The project emerged in late 2023 with an appearance at the online Ravenspurgh Music Festival, which led to a run of UK gigs and festival slots through 2023 and 2024.
IAMIMPERFECT released a series of singles through 2024 that built toward the debut EP “Reincarnate.” In 2025 the band toured southern England and released the single “The Fallen,” which reappears as the second track on “Ghosts.” The new EP, out May 1, 2026, follows that run of shows and singles with a five-track record about the weight of everyday pressure and the difficulty of coping with it.
