About Hot Sunday Blood

Hot Sunday Blood formed in Turin, Italy, in 2013. In its early stages the band’s sound drew on alternative rock with heavy rock influences, with each member bringing a different background, including metal, stoner, grunge, black metal, prog and new wave. The band describes itself as “plug and play,” reflecting an approach built around immediate, unrehearsed songwriting. Over time, the group’s sound shifted toward a more distinctive, electronics-inflected style, introducing industrial elements alongside Andrea Amerini’s vocals and Stefano Capista’s guitar riffs.

Hot Sunday Blood has released three full-length albums and played more than one hundred live shows. In July 2018, the band opened for Doyle (of the Misfits) on the Turin date of his European tour. In May 2019, the band toured Romania, Croatia and Slovenia. It performed abroad again in 2023 at the Ostrava V Plamenech Festival and as a support act on the Farthest Outpost European tour. In 2024, Hot Sunday Blood played three rounds of the Emergenza Live festival in Turin, reaching the final at Hiroshima Mon Amour. In 2025, the band performed at the Balkan Metal Meeting in Bologna and abroad at Fajtfest in the Czech Republic and Balkan Metal Meeting in Hungary. “Awakening” is the band’s latest single release.
