American darkwave/post-punk artist David Galas releases the single and video “Syndrome”, taken from his forthcoming solo album “The Nihilist”, out 12 December 2025 via These Hands Melt. The new 15-track album will be out as a CD digipak and as download and streaming.

“Syndrome” follows the recent single “The Color of Gray.”

About David Galas

Galas is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his work with Lycia (Tempe, Arizona), a darkwave band formed in 1988. Galas first joined Lycia in the mid-1990s, contributing to albums including “Cold” (1996) and “The Burning Circle and Then Dust” (1995), before later returning to the lineup.

He began issuing solo material in the 2000s, starting with “The Cataclysm” (2006), followed by releases such as “The Happiest Days of My Life” (2009) and “The Ghosts of California” (2011). His recent singles “You’re a Needle in My Arm” (2024), “Psilocybin” (2024) and “The Color of Gray” (2025) announce the new album “The Nihilist” out in December 2025.
