“Fading Into This Grace” marks Date At Midnight’s first new album since 2016’s “Songs To Fall And Forget.” This release captures a nostalgic yet refreshing Dark-Wave/Post-Punk sound. The guitar revives the quintessential dark, 80s influence, while the Electro arrangements add smoothness and a melodic touch. Few bands manage to evoke the era’s characteristic enthusiasm as effectively. This album stands strong with several standout tracks, though the final two songs, while not bad, feel more floaty and less impactful. (Rating: 8½)

About Date At Midnight
Date At Midnight is an Italian Post-Punk and Goth-Rock band formed in 2007 in Rome by Pasquale and Daniele. Francesco joined the band in 2012, and Nunzio joined most recently. The band released “Songs To Fall And Forget” in 2016, followed by the EP “Reverse Resilience” in 2018.
“Fading Into This Grace” is the band’s third full-length album, released through Manic Depression Records. It was mastered by William Faith in his studio in Chicago.
