Christian Fiesel, the German electronic artist known for a dark ambient and Berlin School sound, has released his new album “On A Second Thought” via Cyclical Dreams. The album came out on July 17, 2026 and is available now on all digital platforms, with a WAV download also offered through Payhip and a CD edition available via Kunaki.

“On A Second Thought” runs across eight tracks: “On A 2nd Thought” (11:16), “A New Phase” (05:45), “The Wire” (02:46), “At The Apex” (05:29), “Into Emptiness” (03:28), “Serpent In Broad Daylight” (21:58), “On The Hill” (13:58) and “Statue Of Freedom” (27:21), the latter two stretching well past the twenty-minute mark. According to the release credits, the album was recorded in Trittau, Germany in 2021 and 2022 using a Behringer DeepMind 12 synthesizer and a Memotron. Fiesel described the record in the release notes as “the 2nd part (2nd thought, you see?) to the ideas, sounds and spirit of ‘Arriving Too Late'”, his 2021 album also released on Cyclical Dreams, and said the material draws on Ray Bradbury’s short story collection “The Illustrated Man”. A full album stream of “On A Second Thought” is also posted on Cyclical Dreams’ YouTube channel.

About Christian Fiesel

Christian Fiesel was born in 1965 in Hamburg, Germany. According to Cyclical Dreams, his music mixes experimental and electronic elements with a focus on dark, film-score-style atmospheres. His discography on Discogs lists more than fifty releases dating back to 1997, spread across labels including Aural Films, Somehow Recordings, Kalamine Records, Databloem and Petroglyph Music, alongside self-released titles.

Fiesel has become a recurring artist on Cyclical Dreams, the Buenos Aires, Argentina label founded in early 2020 by Pablo Bilbao, Lucas Tripaldi and Esteban Menash to focus on Berlin School, ambient, soundscape, space music and drone electronic music. His releases for the label include “Follow Me South“, “Carnival Of The Uninvited“, “Still Waiting At The Gate“, “Sphere“, “Isolation Sleep“, “Arriving Too Late” and “Full Of Light“. “On A Second Thought” is his latest addition to that catalog, continuing directly from the ideas he developed on “Arriving Too Late”.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
