Content: Capital X is a British project featuring 2 wild girls. On their facebook profile you can read a nice description of their sound: ‘A fearless duo and synth smack-down machine, pushing to take over the city with their gang of digi-rock n’ roll trailblazers’.
“Eagle Hawk” is a rather eclectic electro song featuring d’n’b influences mixed with deep resonating bass sounds, a melodic sequence running through the entire song and of course female vocal parts.
The song is not bad at all, but the real noticeable track is the “Maethelvin Remix”, which is run by a different rhythm getting us back to the 80s. The remix is more into an electro-clash vein while there’s a cool effect on the vocals as well.
Conclusion: Capital X is not exactly the most familiar and famous name of the scene yet the girl-power of the duo appeals for more!
Best songs: “Eagle Hawk – Maethelvin Remix”.

Since you’re here … … we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive. If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute.
