BlakLight – Buried Alive (Digital EP – BlakLight)
“Buried Alive” is the second preview of BlakLight’s upcoming album, “The Haunting Of Us”.
The American Electro-Pop band delivers a strong title track, marked by excellent production and a richly layered soundscape. Brian Belknap’s outstanding vocals elevate the song even further, completing an already impressive package. A second version of the track is also included—one I personally prefer, even though the differences are subtle.
The remaining two tracks are instrumental, which essentially makes this release feel more like a single than an EP. Still, both pieces are highly Cinematic and offer a chance to appreciate the depth of BlakLight’s composition style, with some truly beautiful piano work providing the finishing touch.
BlakLight continues to be a solid presence within the genre—though they remain criminally underrated on the European scene. It’s time for a new full-length album. (Rating:7).

About BlakLight
BlakLight is an American Synth-Pop project founded by Adam Collier and Brian Belknap, first heard on the 2020 debut album “Music In A Time Of Uncertainty”. Each subsequent release built on the duo’s polished Electro-Pop sound, with Brian Belknap on lead vocals. Live member Omar Quiñones became a full part of the project with BlakLight’s fifth full-length album, “The Haunting Of Us”, self-released in late 2025.
“Buried Alive” was issued as the second single from “The Haunting Of Us” ahead of the album’s release.
