Vocalist Emese Árvai-Illés commented on the announcement: “We invite you to come and see us one more time in 2026 with the current selection of songs. We are deep into the process of creating something special and 2027 will bring a new Black Nail Cabaret release. Catch this incarnation while you can!”

About Black Nail Cabaret

Black Nail Cabaret is a Hungarian electro-pop noir (dark pop) duo established in 2008, consisting of vocalist Emese “Emke” Árvai-Illés and Krisztián Árvai on keyboards. The group formed in Budapest and later spent several years based in London. Original member Sophie Tarr, who handled keyboards, left the band in 2016 to pursue her own music project. Before forming Black Nail Cabaret, Árvai-Illés and Árvai were part of Budapest’s industrial and cyber party scene and co-founded the theatre group Art Macabre in 2005.

The duo has released music through Dependent Records, with a discography that includes the self-released full-length “Pseudopop” (2018), “Gods Verging on Sanity” (2020), and “Woodland Memoirs” (2023). Their sixth studio album, Black Nail Cabaret launches all new album ‘Chrysanthemum’, followed on March 1, 2024, preceded by singles including “Roadtrip” and “Darkness Is a Friend”. The 2026 live dates mark another round of shows built around that album’s material, ahead of new music the band has said is planned for 2027.
