Greek synth duo Paradox Obscur release the digital single “Vulgar Sequence” today, 22 August 2025, via Metropolis Records. The track appears on their forthcoming album “IKONA,” due 12 September 2025. A video directed by Simone Pellegrini accompanies the single and is available now.
The new single is the follow-up to the 2 previous album singles “Lose This Feeling” and “Switch To Love ”.
“Vulgar Sequence” is presented by the duo as a study of manipulation dynamics and gaslighting. “We need to cultivate a healthy ego and remain aware,” they say. “Knowledge builds an impenetrable personality, one that is difficult to manipulate. Freedom is the supreme right, but it must be won from within.” The clip, set in a single room as a metaphor for psychological confinement, credits Serra Kösebay for performance and choreography.
