Founded in 2015 by the experienced German duo Artaud Seth and Ashley Dayour, Near Earth Orbit (NEO) now presents their ninth full-length album, inspired by sci/fi and fantasy themes.
This duo continues to be highly unpredictable in their musical approach, blending a wide range of influences. The result is a truly experimental production—a free-form fusion of Metal, Industrial, Dark-Wave, Krautrock, and Cinematic elements, all shaped into a unique soundscape and carried by a deep, growling voice. NEO remains incomparable to any other act, and that certainly holds true for this release. NEO is an experience—a surreal one—that may not necessarily reach a singular climax, but never fails to leave an impression. At times, the atmosphere feels ominous; at others, it drifts into the psychedelic. This duo clearly inhabits a parallel dimension to conventional genres, and “Divine Inferno” is simply another bold expression of that world.
It’s an album that may appeal to a more limited, select audience—but to those who follow NEO, it will resonate deeply, because they know exactly why they listen. (Rating:7).

About Near Earth Orbit
Near Earth Orbit, also known as NEO, is an experimental apocalypse-goth-rock project formed in Germany in 2015 by Ashley Dayour and Artaud Seth. The duo’s music explores premonitions turned into reality, unknown technology used to manipulate humanity, and an increasingly inhospitable Earth, built around five recurring threats: meteorite impacts and alien invasions, nuclear war, artificial intelligence, global warming and extraterrestrial worlds.
Solar Lodge released the project’s debut, “End Of All Existence”, in 2015, followed the same year by “Trans Neptunian Objects”. “Mission E.D.E.N” followed in 2016, “A.T.O.M.” in 2017, and “Artificial Intelligence” in 2019. “Outerworld + Innerworld” and “M.A.S.S. Extinction” both appeared in 2020, followed by “Echoes of the Future”. “Divine Inferno” is Near Earth Orbit’s ninth full-length album, again released through Solar Lodge.
