Mono Inc. announce 13th studio album ‘Darkness’ for August 15 release

Mono Inc.
German dark rock group Mono Inc. will release their 13th studio album “Darkness” on August 15, 2025. Known for their fusion of melancholic themes and melodic rock, the Hamburg-based band continues their longstanding trajectory following the success of previous albums “The Book of Fire” and “Ravenblack”.
“Darkness” is described by the band as “an ode to the strength we all carry within us.” The album arrives after yet another sold-out Symphonic Tour and numerous festival headlining slots across Europe.
Below is the video for “Lost in pain” taken from the band’s new upcoming album.
About Mono Inc.
Mono Inc. was formed in Hamburg, Germany, in 2000 by Martin Engler (vocals, originally drums), Carl Fornia (guitar), and former vocalist Miky Mono. The band’s name is derived from the word “monomania,” reflecting a singular vision in sound and style.
Mono Inc. signed with NoCut Entertainment and gained broader recognition with their third album “Pain, Love & Poetry” (2008), which marked the vocal transition to Engler.
Over the years, the group developed a signature sound combining gothic atmospheres, symphonic rock, and accessible melodies. Releases include “Voices of Doom” (2009), “Viva Hades” (2011), “The Clock Ticks On” (2013), and “Together Till the End” (2017). Their 2020 release “The Book of Fire” topped the German album charts.
The current lineup includes Martin Engler (vocals), Carl Fornia (guitar), Katha Mia (drums), and Val Perun (bass).

Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
