Lahka Muza – Piesne Ticha (Digital/CD Album – Hevhetia)
It has been 40 years since the Slovakian combo Ľahká Múza came into existence. Led by their enigmatic frontwoman, ‘Gudrun Flower’, the band has been less active in the studio in recent years but returned this year with a new opus. “Piesne Ticha“ (translated as “The Songs Of Silence“) features 10 tracks that immerse the listener in a mysterious, atmospheric musical world from the very first notes. Positioned somewhere between Dark-Wave and Ritual, the songs are masterfully driven by Gudrun’s magical, enchanting voice. Her vocals not only serve as an additional instrument but also evoke the essence of an imaginary cult, inviting the listener into a realm of introspection and secrecy. Musically, her ethereal voice is complemented by melancholic strings and captivating guitar riffs. Few bands are as unique as Ľahká Múza, and discovering their latest album is a genuine pleasure for fans of atmospheric and ritualistic music. (Rating:8).

About Ľahká Múza
Ľahká Múza is a dark wave band from Slovakia, formed in 1984. The group builds its sound on a strong female voice, guitars, and electronic drums and keyboards. Discogs lists Gudrun Snake, 677, Dr.K, and German H as members, and the band has also run the side project Hieros Gamos.
The band self-released its debut “Schizofónia” in 1988. It was followed by “The Innocence” in 1991 on Black Point, “Tieň Bolesti” in 1992 on Zoon Records, “Chvenie Absolútna” in 1995 on Indies Records, “Sen Ohraničeného Života” in 1998 on Sonicca, “Cesty Svetla Plynú Temnotou” in 2000 on Black Flames Records, “V Záblesku Večnosti” in 2004 on Dangus, and “Byť Tvojím Zrkadlom – To Be Your Mirror” in 2013 on Excentrix Records. The DVD “Performance” appeared in 2016 on Excentrix Records. “Piesne Ticha / The Songs Of Silence”, released in 2024 on Hevhetia, is the band’s first studio album in over a decade.
