Norwegian artist kinGeorg releases the single “Kjærlighets Grunge” via Apollon Records, out now on streaming and touring through September.

Norwegian artist kinGeorg releases the single “Kjærlighets Grunge” via Apollon Records, out now on streaming. The track moves between alternative rock, dark pop and electronic music, and is credited on Apple Music as released 19 June 2026.
kinGeorg is the project of singer-songwriter Kim Georg Lunde, who has released music under the name since 2020. “Kjærlighets Grunge” follows a run of singles that includes “Kjærligheten” (2023), “Trykk Play” (2024), the two-part “Helter” project (2024-2025), “Stockholmsyndrom” (2025) and “Boulevard mot solen” (2025). The new single continues the guitar-driven, electronically tinged sound of that catalog, with lyrics circling love and doubt.
‘Kjærlighets Grunge’ follows kinGeorg’s ‘Helter’ project
The “Helter” project stands out in kinGeorg’s catalog: its second part came with a remix by Stephan Groth of Apoptygma Berzerk, alongside a version by Beranek, and Side-Line covered its release in January 2025. That EP was produced by Lars Voldsdal, whose live sound credits include Madrugada, Sivert Høyem and Turbonegro.
kinGeorg is touring Norway and Sweden this summer, with dates announced in Levanger (19 July), Kristiansand (26 July), Holmestrand (2 August), Oslo (23 August) and Herrljunga, Sweden (13 September).
About kinGeorg
kinGeorg is the recording project of Kim Georg Lunde, an artist from Askim in Norway’s Indre Østfold municipality. Lunde began releasing music as kinGeorg in 2020, starting with the singles “Danser Med Stjerner” (2021) and “Hva Er Det Med Meg” (2022), followed by “Kjærligheten” (2023) and “Trykk Play” (2024). The project mixes alternative rock and dark pop with electronic production, drawing comparisons to acts including Apoptygma Berzerk, Mesh and Colony 5.
The two-part “Helter” project, released across 2024 and 2025, marked a turning point for kinGeorg: its second installment featured a Norwegian-language cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” backed by remixes from Apoptygma Berzerk’s Stephan Groth and from Beranek, and was produced by Lars Voldsdal. kinGeorg continued with “Stockholmsyndrom” and “Boulevard mot solen” in 2025 before signing to Bergen’s Apollon Records for “Kjærlighets Grunge,” released in June 2026. The single is out now on streaming, with kinGeorg playing live dates across Norway and Sweden through September.

For almost 15 years I’ve been writing about music, interviewing artists and reviewing releases for Peek-A-Boo Magazine. Recently, I also launched my own WordPress website, where I continue to share interviews, reviews and news from the underground scene. The darker side of music has been part of my life for more than 30 years, with a passion for everything from ’80s synthpop and New Wave to EBM, Futurepop and dark electronic music in general. Also Metal and Rock is part of my world. Away from the scene, I work in a public library, where books are part of my everyday life. I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction, especially books on politics, religion, health and travel. I’m also a fan of thrillers and horror films. When I’m not listening to music or reading, you’ll usually find me exploring nature, enjoying a good sauna, experimenting with vegan cooking, or travelling to my second home, Finland. I’ve always believed the underground has the best stories. My job is simply to help tell them
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
