Chalk Teeth release their self-titled debut album, “Chalk Teeth,” on June 26, 2026 via DNTL Records. The Los Angeles trio mixes darkwave, synth-punk and no wave. The record arrives on vinyl and as a digital download and collects seven tracks, with vocals in Polish. It also includes the earlier singles “Struck” and “Floor It.”
The album was written, recorded and mixed by the band at their North Hollywood rehearsal space and mastered by Antoine Richard, of the French label Hands in the Dark. Chalk Teeth describe it as a fully DIY release… made with no AI.
The self-titled album runs seven tracks: “Hi Vis,” “Struck,” “Oscillopsia,” “Floor It,” “Casket Casino,” “Old Miller” and “Paskuda!” The arrangements combine drum-machine pulses, synth sequences and layered guitar, which the band describes as “shoegaze-tinged, motorik darkwave.”
Two advance singles set up the release. “Struck” arrived in January 2026 as the debut single. “Floor It” followed on April 17, 2026, with a higher tempo and the same darkwave, synth-punk and krautrock elements.
The band traces the songs to long improvisations. “Most of our songs started out as improvisations like 20+ minute long sprawling noise workouts over a bed of drum machine and synth sequences,” the band says. “Then we’d listen back and identify the parts that were most compelling, arrange them into a song […] We let the songs evolve a little playing them live for about a year and then recorded the versions on the album once they felt alive.”

About Chalk Teeth
Chalk Teeth are a darkwave trio based in Los Angeles, formed by Karolina Wallace, Adam Wallace and Jason Miller. Karolina Wallace, born in Poland and raised in Germany, handles vocals and guitar; Adam Wallace plays guitar; Jason Miller plays bass, synths and sequences and programs the beats. The project formed after Karolina and Adam Wallace relocated from New York to Los Angeles and reconnected with Adam’s childhood friend Jason Miller, building early versions of the songs and performing them live. Outside the trio, Jason Miller also plays with Lumerians and Wet Satin.
The band developed the material across about two years of shows in Los Angeles and New York, releasing two singles ahead of the LP: “Struck” in January 2026 and “Floor It” in April 2026, each with a video.
