Neon Electronics rework classic The Neon Judgement track 'Factory Walk' - Out now
On January 4th and 5th, Neon Electronics will support Front 242 at De Vooruit in Ghent. To mark the occasion, the band created a rework of The Neon Judgement classic track “Factory Walk”, which is out now on all digital platforms. To enhance the release, Glenn Keteleer, under his Radical G alias, has created a “Dystopian Rework” mix.
The release marks 45 years since The Neon Judgement debuted with their 7” single “Factory Walk” on Antler Records. It also celebrates 15 years since Glenn Keteleer (Radical G) joined Dirk Da Davo in the Neon Electronics project, later expanded with Pieter-Jan Theunis on bass guitar. Additionally, it commemorates 10 years since The Neon Judgement’s final concert at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, where Glenn Keteleer joined as a guest performer.
The single is out now.
About “Factory Walk”
“Factory Walk” was the debut single by the Belgian new wave band The Neon Judgement, and was released in 1982. Formed in Leuven in 1981 by Dirk Da Davo (keyboards/vocals) and TB Frank (guitar/vocals), the band was a pioneer of electronic body music (EBM), blending industrial and electro influences.
The track itself is a perfect example of the band’s signature fusion of minimalist industrial sounds and new wave synthpop, characterized by cold, mechanical rhythms. “Factory Walk” was later featured on their 1985 compilation album, “1981-1984”, released by Scarface.
Below is a live performance from 2005.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
